PPG MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

One becomes a non-voting member of PPG upon approval of a new or renewal application for participation in The Psychiatrists’ Program. Such approval can be granted only by the Program’s insurance carriers and/or by PRMS, the Program manager, acting solely on behalf of the
carrier(s). Membership in PPG ceases upon expiration (without renewal) or other termination of all of a member’s insurance coverage (other than extended reporting or other discovery period) under the Program.

PPG is a Delaware non-stock, non-profit corporation. Pursuant to Delaware law applicable to such corporations, members have no rights to participate in the distribution of any earnings or profits of the corporation and must abide by all policies, rules, and regulations adopted by the corporation.

PPG has no obligation, authority, or ability to assure that any of its members or any applicant has professional liability insurance or to obtain professional liability insurance on behalf of any applicant for new or renewal participation in The Psychiatrists’ Program.   In its sole discretion, and at any time, PPG may modify or discontinue any insurance program or policy.

PPG is not an insurance agent, broker, adviser, consultant or carrier, and is not the guarantor of any insurance policy, contract, agreement or carrier. Neither PPG nor any of its directors, officers, agents, managers or employees shall have any liability whatsoever arising from the failure of any member or applicant to obtain insurance coverage or arising from any claim against an applicant, member, or former member.
